Hello! I’m Heather, a wife, mom to two girls and a Boston Terrier, newbie city dweller, and small-space quilter.
When I decided to make a baby gift for a friend in 2020 (how hard can it be to make a quilt? I thought), I never knew I would actually become a quilter. Self-taught through many tears and much frustration, I was bound and determined to make my first quilt but swore I’d never make another one. I’ve long loved textiles and once I really learned how to quilt instead of guessing my way along, I entered a whole new world of creativity that I couldn’t stop thinking about!
My journey to becoming a quilter was hard, but yours doesn’t have to be!
Join me here on this site for beautiful and easy-to-follow patterns and tutorials, as well as blog posts that will encourage you to embrace what you might see as limitations along the way. Because I am a mom of two little ones who never seems to have enough time (and I live in 750 square feet in Manhattan!), I am learning how to quilt in the margins of life. I want you to enjoy the colorful, delightful world of quilting that I’ve come to love. Come learn with me! I’m so glad you’re here.
